Wreaths Laid Remembrance Sunday 8 November
Wreaths were laid by our Mayor Cllr. Christine Howley, Royal British Legion (Colin Britt) and our Church Warden Carol Gooch. Also present were Chair of RBL Richard Balding and RBL Standard Bearer Mike, Rev Simon Mason and Church Wardens Roger Beard BEM carrying the cross.
Other members of the RBL and representatives of Newent organisations attended following on from the Act of Remembrance to lay wreaths.

VE Day 75 in Newent
At 11.00am on VE Day, 8th May 2020 a small number of people gathered spontaneously and socially distanced. A poppy posy and list of the fallen were laid at the War Memorial and Graham Barton, Acting Standard Bearer and Deputy Parade Marshall, paraded in Highnam.
