At St. Mary’s we believe in the power of prayer, which is literally the powerhouse of our lives as Christians. God longs to hear us as we pray to him. We come to pray ‘in Jesus name’. Because Jesus died for us all on the cross – paying for the sin of all humanity – and rose again from the dead to give us the offer of life with him now, we have access to our heavenly father in prayer.
We can come to him with the needs of the world, of those known to us, of our loved ones and with the concerns of our own hearts. As we turn to him, he hears us and responds. Prayer is simply talking with God, aware that he is both almighty and a loving Father.
At St. Mary’s we support a number of organizations in a variety of ways – financially, practically (please see our Mission and Outreach page) and prayerfully. For up to date information please see the appropriate links.
If you would like us to pray for you or with you, or for a particular person or situation, then please contact us.
By arrangement and according to need this can be extended to further sessions.
We operate a Prayer Chain for urgent prayer requests, so please contact us if there is a need.
